My prediction on sale prices for some of the upcoming Superman DVD's

With "Superman Returns" coming to theaters at the end of this month (June) it means there is going to be a big push at retail for selling all Superman related DVD's including Superman - The Animated Series Vol. 3 and Justice League - Season Two boxed sets, not to mention the new Direct to Video Superman: Brainiac Attacks among many other Superman related DVD's, but for my analyse I'll just mainly concentrate on these all due out on Tuesday June 20th 2006.

Superman - The Animated Series Vol. 3 is listed on Best Buy's website at $24.99, Circuit City's website list it at $19.99, Walmart's website list it at $19.87, and Target's website list it at $17.49

Justice League - Season Two is listed on Best Buy's website at $31.99, Circuit City's website list it at $34.99, Walmart's website list it at $32.06, and Target's website list it at $31.49

Superman: Brainiac Attacks is listed on Best Buy's website at $14.99, Circuit City's website list it at $15.99, Walmart's website list it at $16.98, and Target's website list it at $14.99

While the websites lists these DVD's at those prices that doesn't mean that come June 20th that they won't be on sale for even less (especially the Justice League Season 2 set)

Back in March of this year Warner Bros released Justice League - Season One and Batman Beyond - Season One, when I went to Best Buy to get them they had Justice League at $32.99 instead of the $37.99 that it was previewed at on the website before it cameout. Also if you had a Best Buy Reward Zone card that took the price down even more to $27.99. Same thing with Batman Beyond it was listed at a higher price on the website before it cameout, and it came out at $19.99 and the Best Buy card that took the price down to $17.99. So I'm expecting Justice League - Season Two to follow the pricing of Season One and Superman - The Animated Series Vol. 3 to follow the pricing of Batman Beyond - Season One and if you notice the prices I listed for it, Target has already beaten Best Buy's card reduction price by 50 cents at $17.49. As for Superman: Brainiac Attacks I think $14.99 is about as low as these retailers will let that go for, on the other hand, they could (and have) pushed similar DVD's out the door faster by cutting it to $9.99. So basically I wouldn't expect these DVD's to sell for top dollar at any good retail store.
